SENCO

Hello! I am Mrs Brown and I am the Launchpad Lead.  I am also the SENCO at BLJS and part of the Senior Leadership Team.  I am very proud of what we offer in the Launchpad. It has been a labour of love for me – being part of the design and build process right from the beginning.  I am pleased to see how the provision has evolved and how well we support children with communication and interaction needs.  I have been a teacher for a number of years and a SENCo for over 10 years.

Away from school, I love spending time with my family and two cats – Freddie and Foxy! I also love watching football and am an avid Leicester City fan!

Mrs Rudd

Lead Teacher

Hey there!  I am Mrs Rudd and as well as my other roles, I am a specialist teacher in the Launchpad on a Monday and Tuesday which is a truly fabulous place to be! Having worked at BLJS for over 15 years, I have a passion for working with children with a range of needs, have the National Award for SEN Co-ordination, have completed AET training and regularly attend additional SEN training.
When I am not in the Launchpad, you may find me in the new Thrive Room (previously The Dahl Room). Thrive is a whole school approach Mrs Campbell and I are responsible for leading and we are focused on supporting children with their social and emotional development.
I also teach in Year 3 on a Thursday and Friday too so you will often spot me covered in paint from head to toe as I love getting arty and creative! I am passionate about planning and delivering an engaging child-centred curriculum and believe that communication is key so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and 6-year-old daughter, going on mini-adventures and holidays and the occasional kitchen disco!
